Postdoctoral Scholar

Maggie Richardson, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the center, where her work focuses on research, intervention, and clinical support for children and families involved in out-of-home care through the Institute on Fostering Resilience (IFR) initiative. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Kentucky and completed her predoctoral internship through the Tennessee Internship Consortium. Maggie also holds a master’s degree in education from West Virginia University and previously worked as an educator in both general and special education settings. Maggie’s research interests include parental substance use and mental health, with a broader focus on factors affecting the well-being of children and families. Her clinical interests include trauma-informed assessment and intervention for neurodevelopmental disorders and supporting children and families as they navigate complex systems of care.
