Online Staying Inside the Window of Tolerance: An Advanced Training on Secondary Traumatic Stress and Resiliency

This free, self-paced online training is being offered by the University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children through the Secondary Traumatic Stress Innovations and Solutions Center.  We will be using the Window of Tolerance framework to discuss regulation, dysregulation, and as a frame for reviewing coping strategies in the face of secondary traumatic stress.

Trauma-Informed Care

This training is focused on the types of trauma children and adults may be exposed to; the impact of trauma exposure on the developing brain and the subsequent impact on cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning; and signs and symptoms of traumatic stress and how it may manifest in a variety of settings. Participants have the opportunity to practice application of an array of trauma-informed approaches to build resilience and reduce traumatic stress symptoms. Participants are guided to identify trauma informed practices they can utilize in their workplaces.

Trauma-Informed Care Learning Collaborative

The Trauma-Informed Care Learning Collaborative offers training to support professionals on a path from introductory trauma awareness to integrated and advanced trauma-informed practices, approaches, and care. Participants will attend four learning sessions, develop a plan for starting to implement trauma-informed practices, and have an opportunity to participate in two virtual learning calls.

Skills for Psychological Recovery

Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) is an evidence-informed modular intervention that aims to help survivors gain skills to manage distress and cope with post-disaster stress and adversity.
